Raising the Bullying Issue, Student of Government Science UB Achieved the 3rd Best Video Project in Malaysia

Angela Clarisa, Government Science Student, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Brawijaya (UB), won the 3rd Best Video Project award in the Indonesian Youth Excursion Network (IYEN) 2024 which was held on (23/4-26/4/2024) then in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

With a video that raised the issue of bullying and violence that often occurs in schools, Angela presented her video project entitled “Education Emergency in Indonesia” in front of other participants from various countries.

Apart from explaining the cases of bullying that have occurred in Indonesia, the video also contains the solutions offered.

“Starting from an online meeting for discussion with the founders of the Indonesian Youth Excursion Network (IYEN) regarding the project we want to present and will be directed directly to them. I also have to do research related to the latest education issues in Indonesia,” she said, Monday (20/5/2024).

In addition, she also said that it took her approximately two months of preparing the material and videos that she registered for the Indonesian Youth Excursion Network (IYEN) event.

During the student exchange program, the most impressive thing for Angela was the day when she presented the project she had designed.

“That was the most impressive thing for me because I knew the limits of my abilities and it turned out that in the end, I could do it after trying directly. Of course, winning the award for 3rd Best Video Innovation was also the most memorable moment and actually exceeded my expectations,” said Angela.

Angela also revealed that her initial intention to join the Indonesian Youth Excursion Network (IYEN) was to try something she had never experienced and to gain experience.

This student of Government Science FISIP also conveyed a message to other UB friends who are interested in participating in the Indonesian Youth Excursion Network (IYEN) program to start looking for information first.

“Don’t let rewards be your benchmark for participating in this activity, but make this activity a way for you to learn and try new things so you can get out of your comfort zone. In my opinion, rewards are just bonuses from what you have prepared so far. So, prepare yourself before taking part in this activity because effort will not betray the results,” she said.

Not only proud, Angela Clarisa also motivated other FISIP UB students to actively participate in student exchange events between students from various other countries. (Fazlar/FISIP PR/ OKY/ UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
